Out the Window

2015

ink, pencil
An A4, 12 page comic

The after thoughts began during my first year of university, routinely walking up and down the hill outside this house at the end of my street. Heading home with one glowing window in sight. This short story highlights losing a sense of self over fantasy and the unhinging of microcosms. After making many live observations, the internalised fascination I’ve built for this ordinary suburban Perth household only heightened when I put pencil down to paper.

A few days ago they put up a new fence that completely conceals their windows on the side view of the house. Honestly, it felt like the end of an era. But oh well it’s been fun.
